It’s a harsh reality that many of our favourite celebrities suffer from health problems. Recently, Mandopop icon JJ Lin (林俊杰) shocked fans all over the world after revealing that he’s been quietly facing a heart disorder.
The singer recently concluded his “JJ20 FINAL LAP” World Tour at the Beijing National Stadium, wowing 100,000 fans. However, many people from the crowd noticed the singer in pain during parts of his performance. At one point, JJ Lin was bent over while clutching his torso and had a pained expression on his face. It wasn’t until later in the concert that he revealed shocking news about his health.
According to JJ Lin, he had been diagnosed with a heart problem in April 2024. Since then, the singer has been on daily medication to manage his health and treat his condition. This news naturally came as a surprise to many fans, as JJ Lin has been on tour for the past year, performing at concerts every week. The singer spoke candidly about his condition, saying, “The news really shocked me. I never thought that it would happen to me.”
The star continued, “At the moment, I felt for the first time that the sands of time were slipping away fast. How long can I continue to sing? This question suddenly became very real.” Fighting back tears, JJ Lin also shared a message of gratitude for fans and their unwavering support, saying, “You came from all over the world for more than 100 “JJ20” performances. I believe that my efforts, the team’s hard work and what we made did not let you down.”
Following JJ Lin’s confession, his agency shared a statement on his condition. The agency assured the public that the singer has been regularly seeing a doctor to manage his health. Additionally, the 44-year-old will arrange for more time to rest after completing his tour and other commitments. JJ Lin was also seen wearing a health monitoring bracelet on his right hand, presumably used to track his heart rate.
Fans are now urging the vocalist to take a much-needed break and prioritise his health, especially now that he has concluded his 103-show tour. We also wish all the best for JJ Lin as he navigates through his condition.
