If you didn’t know, Japanese singer-songwriter LiSa was in Malaysia recently, performing at Mega Star Arena on 7th June 2026 (Sunday) as part of her “LiVE is Smile Always ~15~” tour. While in town, the powerhouse vocalist made sure to go sightseeing and try out some local delicacies.
Earlier today (Wednesday, 10th June 2026), LiSA took to Instagram and Twitter to share some photos and videos that she took while in Kuala Lumpur. Given that it was her first time in Malaysia, it’s no surprise that the star took her time to check out the city. According to her posts, the star visited Central Market (Pasar Seni), Petaling Street and Bukit Bintang.
LiSA also made sure to try a lot of Malaysian food during her visit. As shown in her Instagram post, the 38-year-old dined on a variety of noodles, including curry laksa and chicken hor fun. However, her most animated reaction came when trying durian ice cream. LiSA noted her thoughts about the dessert, writing, “My first durian ice cream experience left me shaking.”
Of course, shopping and eating weren’t the only things on LiSA’s KL agenda. While in town, the singer also made a stop at LaLaport BBCC to check out the Animate Kuala Lumpur Store and the Sony Store. Animate KL held a special LiSA collaboration pop-up, so the star swung by the store to check out the special display and even left her autograph.
The star also included other memorable interactions from her visit, including with fans who waited for her at the airport and with her staff members backstage at her concert. Funnily enough, LiSA also posed for a photo with the police officers who escorted her at the airport, likely to show her appreciation for their service.
Despite only being in town for the weekend, it’s clear LiSA had a fun time while in KL. Let’s hope the memories will stay with her for a long time, and even motivate her to return to Malaysia soon!
