BLACKPINK’s Lisa is celebrating another major milestone! Her latest solo release, “SaWaDiKa,” has officially surpassed 200 million videos on YouTube, becoming the first music video released by a K-pop artist in 2026 to reach the mark.
The music video crossed 200 million views on 8th October at around 3AM UAE time, just 34 days after its release on 4th September. With its mix of Thai Culture, music, and fashion, SaWaDiKa has quickly become another standout release in Lisa’s solo career.
From 70 Million to 200 Million Views
SaWaDiKa made an impressive start on YouTube, collecting 70.8 million views within its first 24 hours, according to Thai news outlet Khaosod English.
The video went on to surpass 100 million views in just two days, before reaching its latest milestone of 200 million views.
Its first-day numbers also came close to Lisa’s previous record with her 2021 solo debut, “Lalisa”, which earned 73.6 million views in its first 24 hours.

SaWaDiKa Brings Thai Culture Into the Spotlight
The title SaWaDiKa comes from the Thai greeting sawadika, which means “hello”.
The approximately three-minute song features Lisa rapping over hip-hop beats, with production by Thom Bridges and the duo Ojivolta.
Lisa also took part in writing the song alongside Bridges, Mark Williams, Raul Cubina, Rachel West, and Danny Chung. The track was released through LLOUD Co, and RCA Records.

Beyond the music, the video celebrates Lisa’s Thai roots through its visuals.
Directed by Bang Jae Yeob, the music video was filmed across Bangkok and features elements of Thai Culture, including Muay Thai, tuk-tuks and traditional Chula kites. The fashion also brings together modern and traditional styles.
SaWaDiKa Makes Its Mark on Billboard
The song’s success has also extended beyond YouTube. SaWaDiKa debuted at No.69 on the Billboard Hot 100, while entering the Billboard Global 200 at No.23 and the Billboard Global Excl. US chart at No.13.
It also became Lisa’s third solo song to spend more than one week on the Hot 100, following “Money” in 2021, and “Born Again”, her 2025 collaboration with Doja Cat and Raye.
Lisa brought the track to the stage for the first time at the 2026 MTV Video Music Awards in Los Angeles on 27th September.
The singer began the night by winning Best Pop, before delivering the song’s debut live performance on a stage inspired by a boxing ring and nightclub.
A Busy October and November Ahead for Lisa
While SaWaDiKa continues to gain views, Lisa has several more projects lined up. The song serves as the pre-release single for her upcoming EP, Press Play which is scheduled to arrive on 23rd October.
Fans will also get a closer look at her journey through her documentary, Always Lalisa, which opens in cinemas worldwide on 12th October, following its premiere at the 51st Toronto International Film Festival.
