Malaysians have expressed their honest opinions about the numerous skyscrapers in Kuala Lumpur and the newly opened luxury mall. Foreigners, on the other hand, would often praise how amazing our malls are, even declaring that they’re much better and more beautiful than the ones in their home country, especially the United States.

American-born content creator Lilith also previously shared her amazement about the extravagant Christmas decorations she saw at malls around KL and she often highlights on the things she finds astounding about the country. In one of her most recent videos, however, she brings up something that is apparently lacking in the newer malls.

Excuse me why are these new malls in KL opening without any hand bidets??? kukualalumpuramalaysiaahandbideththeexchangetrxa#pavilionbukitjalil

Over the weekend, Lilith posted a video on her TikTok channel to discuss something that she had noticed lately in newly opened malls. The influencer was put off by the fact that the malls’ toilet stalls in restrooms lack something important. “I noticed that these new malls do not have [hand] bidets which is nasty or they’d have the ones in the toilet [bowls], which is also kinda nasty,” she said.

The KL-based influencer suggested that it should be compulsory for Malaysian malls to have hand bidets in their toilet stalls. She then proceeded to mention The Exchange TRX and Pavilion Bukit Jalil as two of the malls that do not install hand bidets in their toilet stalls. “This is Malaysia, we use hand bidets here and because this is Malaysia, act like it,” the TikToker stated before ending the video.

Lilith’s viewers, most of whom are Malaysians, all agreed with her statement that there had been a lack of hand bidets in newer malls. Some suspected that it’s probably because the bidets are expensive to install and are easily vandalised or stolen. Others believe that it’s because the developers want the restrooms to appear clean and dry. A few clarified that some of these malls do have hand bidets but not on every floor.
