Malaysian actress Liyana Jasmay is never one to back down when dealing with online haters. She was previously slammed for removing her hijab publicly. Despite the severe backlash from netizens, Liyana continues to be acting in updating her socials, including her TikTok.
Last week, the actress-turn-producer took to her TikTok to share several videos of her enjoying local delicacies such as mixed rice and also fried kuey teow, just to name a few. However, one particular netizen went as far as to question whether she was high on drugs. This was apparently due to her facial expressions while eating.

The netizen, known as Udang on TikTok, commented, “I always wonder (whether) is she high (on drugs)? Maybe she had one or two joint rolls before she had her meals.” Liyana later came up with a video to issue a response to the TikToker’s accusation.
She said after a brief pause, “I’m just speechless. Some people are really weird at commenting things, and a little bit psychotic. Maybe it’s because of my facial expression. So next time, I won’t do that face whenever I’m eating. But then again, that’s just how I feel when I eat.”
Many netizens came to the defence of Liyana. “She’s always been like this. She’s not faking it. You just don’t know her,” one fan of her wrote in the comments. Another fan put the TikToker on blast, saying, “Why are you commenting like this? Please be more humane.”
