Previously, influencer Kim Seri was accused of travel package fraud after a woman and several of her colleagues were left stranded in South Korea, allegedly due to the Malaysian internet personality’s travel agency failing to provide return tickets. The case remains ongoing, with new allegations that she has yet to issue refunds to the affected individuals.
The content creator is once again in the spotlight for two reasons: her recent marriage and allegedly being the reason her ex-husband is behind bars. Shortly after announcing her marriage to a Korean Muslim man, she was hit with serious accusations from her former sister-in-law. Here’s the full story:
Earlier this week, Kim Seri announced on Instagram that she had married a Korean Muslim man named Choi Amin. The couple made their relationship public in February and occasionally shared photos from their dates on their respective social media accounts. Fans congratulated the newlyweds and expressed hopes for a lasting marriage.
However, one person appears to still be holding a grudge over what transpired between the business owner and her ex-husband. On Thursday (24th April), a woman identifying herself as Nor Seri Azlina Bustani claims to be Kim Seri’s former sister-in-law. The woman posted on her TikTok, revealing a conversation she allegedly had with the influencer on Instagram. According to the captions and screenshots, Kim Seri’s ex-husband has been arrested on 47 charges.
“When my brother and Kim Seri were married, they used his name to open an account for her travel agency. After the case went viral, my brother was the one who got arrested for her crimes, while she lives happily in Korea — even married now,” said the former sister-in-law. As seen in the text messages, Nor Seri asked the accused scammer to admit to her crimes so that her ex-husband could be released from confinement. However, she evaded the request by suggesting that he provide all the necessary documents to prove his innocence.
Shortly after the new allegations surfaced, Kim Seri addressed the situation via her Instagram Stories, stating that both she and her ex-husband must cooperate with the authorities independently. “InshaAllah, if my ex is innocent, he will be released. Let’s leave it to the authorities to handle these cases,” she wrote in one of her posts.
She also denied allegations made by her former sister-in-law regarding her being a neglectful mother, claiming that her former in-laws had denied her access to her children. We suspect things will only get messier from here – but what do you think about this issue?
