The case appears to still be ongoing, with little to no updates following the arrest of her former husband. While all of this was happening, the public figure has since remarried, this time to a Korean-Muslim man named Choi Amin. However, Kim Seri is now facing renewed backlash, this time over allegations of being a neglectful mother to her two children.
The latest criticism stems from a post on Threads by an anonymous user who goes by @/user768592844621919, who questioned Kim Seri’s parenting. The post insinuated that she had abandoned her children while enjoying a comfortable life in Korea. “Doesn’t she miss her kids? I mean, she’s living comfortably in Korea, even got married to someone there, but it’s a pity that she hasn’t been a present parent. It’s a shame that they have a mother who is a scammer,” the post read.
The post quickly went viral, with many netizens agreeing with the user’s sentiments. Numerous commenters criticised the influencer for allegedly failing to prioritise her children, accusing her of being an irresponsible parent. Others continued to brand her a scammer and claimed that she had brought shame to her family. At the time of writing, Kim Seri has yet to respond to the latest backlash. However, she has previously denied similar accusations, stating that it was her ex-sister-in-law who had restricted her access to her children.
