Fans have always been curious about the type of person their favourite celebs are into when it comes to dating. However, some celebs have faced misunderstandings as people would often speculate their preferences in a partner based on their public image.
DJ SODA (Hwang So-hee, 황소희) was one of those celebs whom people assumed would only date wealthy men but apparently, that’s not actually the case. Here’s what she had to say about the dating rumours online:
DJ SODA appeared as the latest guest on Tak Jae Hoon‘s show “No Back Tak Jae Hoon” on his YouTube channel. During the interview, which was posted yesterday (Thursday, 16th November), the 35-year-old was asked about the rumours claiming she only dates chaebols (members of a large family-owned business conglomerate).
The South Korean DJ put those rumours to rest by clarifying that she has ever only dated ‘poor’ people. “I always dated poor people. I get so annoyed hearing rumours that I only date chaebols. I would love to date a chaebol though,” she said. The hosts then teased her about which chaebol she would like to date if she were given the chance, to which she replied, “I haven’t thought about it that far.” One of those hosts, Shin Gyu Jin suggested she should date someone rich from Google since she travels to the US often for work.
The guest star was then asked to elaborate on her only “dating poor people”. She explained that she’s usually the gift-giver in the relationship. “I always buy them plenty of things, but I rarely received gifts. A standard gift that I’d always give them was a phone,” she added. As for the question of whether she’s dating anyone at the moment, DJ SODA shared that she’s currently not looking for a relationship as she’s busy focusing on her career.
Speaking of career, during the same interview, DJ SODA also talked about her extremely busy schedule saying that she’d usually performed in 20 countries and 60 cities every year. While it seems like she’s having the time of her life, it’s not always an easy ride as she has been blamed for getting sexually harassed by fans for the way she dressed.
