Being diagnosed with a terminal illness such as cancer can be the most terrifying and heartbreaking thing to experience. Although many have survived the disease, others have also lost their lives to the battle. During these trying times, some have been blessed to have their family journey with them during their recovery.

A couple of days ago, a man named Erol Azis posted a TikTok video on the @japan_clothing.co channel to share the moment he helped shave his wife Liza’s hair off as she is battling cancer. For your information, shaving one’s head during cancer treatment helps reduce irritation as the scalp can get extremely itchy and sensitive. As seen in the video posted above, the wife was overwhelmed by the situation and couldn’t hold back her tears.
After Liza’s head-shaving process was complete, Erol comforted his wife before proceeding to do the unexpected – he started shaving his own hair off without any sign of hesitation. The cancer patient was shocked by her husband’s action and tried to stop but he continued shaving to show his solidary to his terminally ill wife.
Netizens were touched by the man’s gesture and many sent their thoughts and prayers for the couple, in hopes they will perservere through this difficult time. Speaking to mStar, the business owner revealed that he couldn’t bear to see his wife in tears throughout the head-shaving process. “My wife told me that she wanted to shave all her hair off and I asked her to stay strong. After seeing her in tears, I decided to shave mine in support of her,” he said.
In the same interview, the entrepreneur revealed that his wife has been battling ovarian cancer since last year. She was apparently diagnosed with the illness after a surgical process to remove a tumour in her stomach. We certainly hope that things will turn out for the better for the loving couple and may Liza have a speedy recovery.
