It has been about two months since comedian Nigel Ng, also known as Uncle Roger, opened his first-ever restaurant in Malaysia at Pavilion Kuala Lumpur. His Fuiyoh It’s Uncle Roger Restaurant has attracted numerous content creators, including American streamer IShowSpeed.
Reviews of the establishment’s service and food have been mixed, with some claiming that the meals are not worth the prices and that Uncle Soon’s fried rice dishes are superior. This Hong Kong YouTuber also decided to try Uncle Roger’s offerings but was unfortunately left disappointed. Here’s why:

Recently, Lukian Wang, famously known as CookingBoBo on YouTube, posted an Instagram Reel about her experience at the Fuiyoh It’s Uncle Roger Restaurant. The content creator shared that it was the first restaurant she wanted to visit as soon as she arrived in Malaysia. “There was already a queue 40 minutes before opening time but thankfully, I was one of the first people in. I did not expect that more than half the menu would already be sold out by the time I was seated,” she said.
The digital creator waited 20 minutes for her hot lemon tea to arrive and was disappointed that it looked nothing like what was depicted on the menu. After 50 minutes, her food still had not arrived, so to keep herself entertained, she decided to do a livestream. “My food finally arrived after 1 hour of being seated. I was starving. If you see a queue outside of Uncle Roger’s restaurant, it’s not because it’s popular but the service is slow,” she lamented.
When asked if the meal was truly the “best fried rice” she’d ever had, Lukian replied that it tasted nice because she hadn’t eaten for hours. The YouTuber concluded that she would not be returning and would not recommend anyone to dine at Fuiyoh It’s Uncle Roger Restaurant unless they were personally invited by the Malaysian-born comedian.

Shortly after the Instagram Reel went viral, Nigel Ng himself apologised for the service by commenting, “Haiyaa, sorry for the long wait 😔 we’ll do better next time.” Lukian acknowledged his apology with a simple hand gesture emoji and a crying emoji, as seen in the screenshot above. Hopefully, the entertainer will take the criticisms seriously and improve his restaurant’s service if he plans to open another outlet in the future.
