Fans were surprised when they met not one, not two, but three Hong Kong stars in Kuala Lumpur yesterday (29th April 2025). Actor Oscar Leung’s (梁競徽) fan meeting at Bukit Bintang included special appearances from his celebrity friends, Bob Lam (林盛斌) and Joel Chan (陳山蔥).
In early April, Oscar announced his first solo fan meeting in Kuala Lumpur, garnering attention from local HK drama fans. The event was held at the Lot 10 Shopping Centre yesterday evening. During the fan meeting, the TVB star interacted with fans and performed a few songs. Fellow HK star Bob Lam, who was previously announced as a special guest, also appeared on stage to interact with the crowd and perform with Oscar.
However, the guest who shocked fans was TVB star Joel Chan. The actor is reportedly in town to film for an upcoming project and dropped by the mall to support his friend Oscar. Upon Joel’s appearance, the crowd immediately went into a frenzy, prompting Oscar and Bob to joke that he stole the limelight. Fans who attended the event even joked that they “made a profit” because they met three HK stars at the same event.
Oscar and Bob did almost everything during the event to keep the crowd excited throughout the session. In addition to performing and playing games with fans, the duo walked off stage to get closer to the crowd. Some lucky fans even got to take selfies with the stars, and one female fan got a hug from Oscar. There was also an autograph session at the end of the event, which included an adorable moment between Bob and a young fan.
During the event, Oscar also shared his thoughts about his Malaysian fans, saying they’re always enthusiastic. He added that HK stars love coming to Malaysia because of the warm welcome that they receive from fans. The 46-year-old said he’d like to return to Malaysia to hold a concert if there’s an opportunity, sparking joyous cheers from fans. Bob and Joel chimed in, saying they’ll definitely support the next event if it happens.
It looks like Oscar, Bob, and Joel had a great time with their Malaysian fans. We hope the stars will make more appearances in Malaysia soon!
