After divorcing and getting back together, actress Diana Danielle is ultimately adamant about separating from her husband, Farid Kamil. Unfortunately for her, the latter doesn’t seem keen on separating just yet.
Earlier today (16th December 2024, Monday), the celebrity duo appeared at the Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur Shariah Court for the second mention of their ongoing divorce proceedings. According to reports, 43-year-old Farid refused to pronounce the divorce from Diana, resulting in a court order for both parties to appoint representatives from the Conciliation Committee (JKP).
The father of two was smiling upon leaving the courtroom, saying that today was the happiest day of his life. On the other hand, Diana spoke to news outlets after the proceeding, expressing her frustration with Farid over his refusal to separate. The actress said, “For me, his actions today are repulsive and out of touch with reality because he’s delirious. There is nothing else for us to save (in our relationship).”
Diana then continued, explaining that Farid had failed to make amendments to their relationship in the one year they had reconciled since their first divorce. The 33-year-old also said that she’s adamant about seeking divorce from the actor, adding that she hopes her estranged husband can let her go. She emphasised her stance, sharing a few words with Farid, “Please face reality, let me go and stop oppressing me.”
However, the “Imaginur” star never directly mentioned the reason for the separation. Diana and Farid tied the knot in 2012 but split in 2023 before reconciling less than a month after their separation. The actress then announced in late October that she had filed for divorce from Farid again. The judge has set the next hearing for the pair’s divorce proceedings for 24th March 2025.
Whatever happens, we wish the best for both Diana and Farid. May they settle this matter amicably.
