Actress-singer Diana Danielle and actor Farid Kamil’s divorce process has been a messy one, to say the least. From the “Imaginur” star locking her husband out of their home to the actor accusing the mother of his children of infidelity, their story became the talk of netizens for months.
The case was taken to court with the 42-year-old being persistent on mending his marriage with his wife but it seems the case has now come to a close.

As of yesterday (Thursday, 10th August), the two entertainers are now officially divorced. It was reported that Farid Kamil pronounced the divorce against his wife Diana Danielle before the Petaling Syariah Lower Court Judge Shukran Yusof through a Google Meet online call.
The court has granted the divorce application that was filed by the starlet back in March under Section 47 of the Islamic Family Law (State of Selangor) Enactment 2003 on the grounds that she and her husband had irreconcilable differences.
After the application was granted, the judge ordered the singer to undergo the “Iddah” period; a time period a Muslim woman must observe after the death of or divorcing her husband, during which she may not marry another man (to avoid slander or doubts).

As for the reason why the divorce process was not done face-to-face in court, Farid Kamil’s lawyer, Syarie Fakhrul Azman Abu Hassan clarified that his client was unwell and was not able to come to the proceedings, thus why it was done online instead.
Meanwhile, Diana Danielle’s lawyer Datuk Akberdin Abdul Kader confirmed that she and her now ex-husband had also come to an agreement on other related issues after their divorce. While it was not mentioned in detail, it can be assumed that both parties were granted custody over their two children.
We wish nothing but the best for the two and may they be happier in the future.
