Malaysians were shocked when Dr Jezamin confirmed that she was divorcing her husband comedian Harith Iskander after 13 years of marriage. Although they were separating, the pair seemed to still be on good terms as they appeared together for an interview to address their current relationships and the rumours surrounding their dissolution.
The two also recently showed up in court together to finalise their divorce. When speaking with the media, the entertainer finally spoke out about the rumours that he was being unfaithful to his now ex-wife sometime during their marriage.
Word had been circulating around that Harith cheated on his then-wife with a model and beauty queen named Nadira Isaac despite previously denying that there was any infidelity from either side when talking about the reason for their split. The gossip started after a video of her and the comedian on a yacht together circulated online. The 57-year-old said that he was not aware of the rumours on social media.
“Some people will try to take this opportunity to bring attention to themselves and I’m used to these kinds of rumours. They won’t last long anyway,” he explained. When asked if she knew the model, Dr Jezamin answered that they were acquaintance. “I was the one who told Harith about the rumours. I also think that during this time, we would know who our real friends are cause we’ll see who will take this chance to make it about themselves,” the mother-of-three stated.
She also added that both she and Harith found the speculations to be humorous before clarifying that she and Nadira aren’t that close as they’ve only ever seen each other during events. “Both [me and Harith] won’t be contacting anyone for the time being to avoid any negativity,” said the CEO of Cell Biopetics Resources. As for their three children, Dr Jezamin will have full custody while Harith is granted visitation rights.
Meanwhile, Nadira Isaac, who represented Malaysia in the Miss Earth 2023 pageant, also denied the rumours saying that she had nothing to do with Harith and Dr Jezamin’s divorce. “The video that went viral was an old video from 2021. I don’t even have his phone number nor do we follow each other on Instagram,” she told HLive.
