Nearly 20 years after his debut with BIGBANG (빅뱅), K-pop superstar G-Dragon (지드래곤) finally held his first solo fanmeeting. Not only did the FAM (G-Dragon fans) learn more about their beloved idol after the event, but some lucky ones even walked away with luxury gifts.
From 6th February (Friday) to 8th February 2026 (Sunday), G-Dragon held his “2026 FAM MEETING” at the KSPO Dome in Seoul, marking his first solo fanmeeting since his debut in BIGBANG in 2007. The “King of K-pop” previously spoke about the event, saying he wanted to celebrate the new year with his fans and give back to fans who supported him throughout the years.

The event largely follows the same concept as other idols’ fanmeetings, like talk segments and performances. However, one segment from the event garnered massive media attention. On all three days of the event, there were lucky draw segments where G-Dragon gave away gifts to a few lucky fans. Of course, since the idol himself is known for his extravagance, the gifts themselves were nothing short of impressive.
According to reports, one of the items that G-Dragon gave away was the diamond necklace released in collaboration with jewellery brand Jacob & Co. The necklace is worth USD11,000 each (approximately RM43,362) and features 18k white gold, white diamonds, tsavorites and a yellow diamond. The lucky FAM who won the necklace was a soon-to-be bride with a handwritten sign that read, “Jiyong oppa, I’m getting married soon. Please give me a gift.”

The other items that G-Dragon gave out include his Frédéric Malle collaboration perfumes, worth USD370 (approximately RM1,460) each, and ZO&FRIENDS merchandise. Everyone who attended the fanmeeting also received walnut pastries, specially designed with the iconic PEACEMINUSONE daisy. The pastries were produced by Boochangjegwa, under the F&B company FG, in collaboration with G-Dragon’s JUSPEACE Foundation.
Netizens have reacted to G-Dragon’s generosity, expressing awe at the gifts. With two fanmeetings scheduled in Japan and Thailand, only time will tell if G-Dragon will give out more gifts in the future.
