There have been many viral moments that came from K-pop idols’ fan video calls. Recently, Hearts2Hearts (하츠투하츠) member Carmen (카르멘) had netizens cracking up after she “ordered” a plate of Indonesian nasi padang through a video call.
On 12th November 2025, Indonesian influencer Zeedtopia, better known as Zeed, shared his recent video call experience with the K-pop idol. However, unlike typical fan calls, the influencer decided to accept the call at a nasi padang restaurant so he could ask Carmen about her choice of side dishes. As shown in the video, the 19-year-old was surprised to learn that she would be ordering a plate of nasi padang virtually.
However, Carmen immediately started listing down her side dishes to Zeed and the restaurant staff. Her order begins with beef rendang, before ordering a serving of chicken curry (gulai ayam). Although she initially ordered fried chicken (ayam pop). The idol continues her order with tempeh, a lot of green chilli sambal (sambal ijo), deep-fried fritters (perkedel and bakwan) and young jackfruit (sayur nangka). A scoop of gravy completes the order.
While taking down her order, Zeed asked Carmen if she missed Indonesian food, to which she admitted that she does. She even quipped in Korean and Indonesian that she’s hungry after seeing the plate of nasi padang. After the video call ends, Zeed shows an overview of the plate and all the fixings. The video has since gone viral, amassing over a million views on TikTok and thousands of comments.
Many netizens were amused by the interaction, with some quipping that this is the first time they have seen an idol choose side dishes during a video call. Others joked that the nasi padang restaurant might put up a banner that said that Carmen had ordered from the stall. A few fans also noticed how Carmen appeared to swallow her saliva during the call, showing how hungry she was.
Some fans also hoped Hearts2Hearts would hold an event in Indonesia soon so that Carmen could satisfy her cravings. Check out Carmen’s nasi padang order below:
