2NE1 (투애니원) vocalist Park Bom (박봄) is no stranger to controversy, having previously sparked discussion online with her fixation on actor Lee Minho. However, her recent claim regarding groupmate Sandara Park (박산다라) brought about more backlash.

On 3rd March 2026 (Tuesday), Park Bom shared a handwritten letter on her Instagram account, which included some outrageous allegations related to her past drug scandal. In 2014, Park Bom faced drug abuse and smuggling accusations. The singer received a suspended indictment for bringing in Adderall, which she used to treat her Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD), from the United States into South Korea, without a customs declaration.

Despite the singer submitting years of medical records and prescriptions to prove that she brought in Adderall into the country for treatment purposes, the incident caused irreparable damage to her career. However, in her recent statement, Park Bom claimed her past drug scandal was a cover-up and that her former company used her as a scapegoat to protect Sandara Park’s own alleged drug abuse.

The vocalist wrote in the letter, “It (Adderall) is not a drug. I am an ADD patient, something called Attention Deficit Disorder. Sandara Park was caught for drug abuse, and to cover that up, they turned the medication into something labelled as a drug scandal involving me. At the time, there wasn’t even a specific medication system or law in this country regarding Adderall, but strangely, after Park Bom, a law was created.”

In her letter, Park Bom also called out YG Entertainment, Yang Hyun-suk (양현석) and 2NE1 leader CL (씨엘), hinting that these parties had a role in the scandal. While the 41-year-old would delete her post shortly after sharing it, the contents of the letter immediately sparked widespread discussion on social media. Many were shocked over the claims, but also slammed Park Bom for making allegations without proof.

Following the allegations, Sandara Park’s representatives issued a brief statement, saying, “The claim is baseless, and Sandara Park is concerned about Park Bom’s current health.” Many fans are now calling for the singer to take legal action against her groupmate for the accusation, noting its severity. As of writing, Park Bom has yet to clarify her letter or the allegations towards Sandara Park.

Despite the backlash, some fans also expressed concern towards Park Bom. Some argued that the letter highlights the significant emotional damage that her drug scandal caused, noting how the public villainised her for her ADD.
