It has been almost a year since Syasya Rizal departed from DOLLA. The girl group continued as a trio, and since her departure, fans have been wondering whether or not the former member will pursue a solo career.
If you didn’t know, the singer is still signed to Universal Music Malaysia, meaning a comeback to the spotlight is still possible. However, there have been no updates on her music until very recently.

In an interview with Era FM, Syasya explained the struggles she has faced in making a comeback to music. She told the radio announcer that she had been recovering from childbirth, which had affected her singing voice, but she is gradually making progress in rediscovering it.
“My voice is no longer the same as it once was before I had a baby. So, I’ve been working on finding my voice again. Thankfully, I have a vocal coach who has been very helpful. We’re getting there,” she said. When asked about fans’ concerns regarding her returning to work so soon, especially after becoming a new mother, the vocalist responded that she is not planning a full-blown comeback and is taking things slowly.

“For now, it’s just song covers on social media, as a gift to my fans who have missed hearing me sing. It’s nothing serious at the moment,” she clarified. Earlier in February, Syasya teased fans with a possible comeback after posting a photo of her recording in the studio.
Over the weekend, she shared her collaboration with singer Nuha Bahrin on Instagram, and yesterday (Monday, 3rd March), the former DOLLA member posted a behind-the-scenes of her filming what appears to be a music video. Is she releasing a song for the upcoming Raya holidays? We can only hope so.
