Your birthday is supposed to be a happy celebration, so it’s easy to see how losing an important belonging can be devastating. On Tuesday (8th April 2025) morning, DJ SODA shared the unfortunate news that she lost her new iPhone 16 Pro on her birthday.
According to the DJ, whose real name is Hwang So-Hee ( 황소희), she boarded a China Airlines flight from Taipei to Hong Kong on the eve of her birthday (7th April 2025, Monday). Unfortunately, DJ SODA disembarked the flight with her newly purchased iPhone 16 Pro left behind on her business class seat. After realising her phone was still on the plane, she contacted the airline, but they said they didn’t find her phone on the flight.
To make matters worse, the plane had already departed, so there was no chance to search the cabin. DJ SODA also gave more details about the phone, revealing it’s an iPhone 16 Pro in black titanium. The lock screen background is the default wallpaper, and the phone has a clear case. The public figure said the device was used for filming purposes, to record footage from her ongoing tour.
Thankfully, DJ SODA assured the public that there are no personal photos on the device, so there’s no risk of her personal information getting leaked. Nevertheless, since most of the pictures and videos were footage from her recent tour stops, DJ SODA said she needed the phone back for work. She is now asking for the public to help locate the device, saying there is a reward for anyone who can help return the phone to her.
Fans and fellow DJs voiced sympathy towards DJ SODA, hoping the EDM star would find her missing phone as soon as possible. Some also shared similar experiences, saying they never retrieved their missing items. However, some netizens questioned whether the phone was connected to iCloud, saying she could still access images if it was uploaded into a cloud service.
We also hope DJ SODA will find her phone soon. At the same time, we hope this matter doesn’t dampen her birthday celebrations.
