(Video) Boycott, So What? Alleged KFC Employees Perform Silly Dance To Release Stress From Work

Big-name businesses have been in shambles since the call for boycott started. Many would already know by now about the lengths McDonald’s Malaysia has to go through to prove that they have nothing to do with Israel but sadly for the company, those who stand with Palestine are not so easily persuaded with discounts and guilt-tripping videos.

While the fast-food chain has been trying to figure out ways to win back their customers’ trust, their competitor, KFC Malaysia supposedly showed that they’re taking the boycott pretty calmly, or so it seems. Here’s what the staff members are allegedly doing to keep themselves busy now that they have more free time on their hands:

Since yesterday (Tuesday, 14th November), a video originally posted by @dydysweettalker123 on TikTok has been circulating on social media. The post showed two men in KFC shirts, allegedly staff members at an unspecified outlet, dancing, and making weird gestures and sounds. One of them was seen awkwardly dancing and twerking in the background while the other was mimicking rap-style movements and keeping a stoic facial expression.

Since there has been a lack of customers lately, it’s no surprise that these supposed employees were probably bored at work. The video instantly went viral with netizens being amused by the duo’s silliness. Most commented that they enjoyed the light-hearted content while others applauded the original creator for not using any tricks to persuade customers to support their business.

One netizen said that the alleged F&B workers looked like they were finally enjoying their jobs now that they had fewer customers to deal with. Another recalled an incident where they saw KFC staff playing badminton at the drive-thru outside of the restaurant as they had no customers that day.

While there’s actually no confirmation if the two men in the viral clip are actually KFC employees, according to the comments section of a reposted video on Facebook, it was alleged that they are OKU and that they were simply releasing some stress due to the possibility of getting a pay cut due as a result from the lack of sales. However, this information is yet to be verified.

KFC has not commented on the viral video. Let’s hope that things will turn out for the better.
