Earlier last month, both singer Shila Amzah and influencer Ubai Mz confirmed their relationship during a TikTok live broadcast where they also shared how their friendship developed into romance. The two public figures took the opportunity to assure fans that the 8-year age gap isn’t an issue.
The podcaster has proven to be a loving and supportive boyfriend by accompanying the singer when she was hospitalised this past week after her “Journey To The Future” concert in Kuala Lumpur. The two only fairly recently confirmed their relationship but should fans expect a wedding announcement soon?

Yesterday (Monday, 6th March), Shila Amzah did a live broadcast on Instagram where she invited her fans to join her on her sunset date with Ubai Mz (real name Muhammad Ubaidillah Mohd Zulkefli) virtually. Throughout the whole live stream, the couple was seen adorably joking around in the car as they made their way to their destination.
At one point during their date, the “Selamanya Cinta” songstress and the digital creator answered a fan’s question about wedding preparations. We can assume that the netizen was not actually serious about their question as the two lovebirds played along with the joke by sharing more ridiculous details about their wedding plans.
The celebrity couple continued to talk about their future wedding with the 25-year-old jokingly suggesting some friends of theirs take on certain tasks during the ceremony. The vocalist even shared a date for their upcoming wedding. “Our wedding won’t be long now. We’re getting married this Saturday, right?” the 32-year-old joked.
To avoid getting fans’ hopes up, Shila made it clear that she won’t get married until Ubai properly proposed to her. The Asian Wave winner even gave suggestions to her boyfriend on how to execute the proposal. The couple continued to enjoy the rest of the sunset date with fans on IG live.
So it looks like fans have to wait a little longer for an official wedding announcement from both Shila and Ubai. For now, we hope that the two will have a happy and long-lasting relationship.
