Recently, ST Rosyam Mart announced the opening of their new ST Rosyam Mall in Jalan Kebun, Klang. For those unaware, ST Rosyam Mart is a chain of supermarkets founded by actor Rosyam Nor in partnership with Sri Ternak Food Mart. The new branch follows the same business model as the previous ones, opening 24 hours a day to allow customers to do their shopping at any time. However, this specific branch also includes a drive-thru counter.
The company also posted a video on its social media introducing the service. In the video, the host explains there is no minimum or maximum spending requirement for the service. He also said customers can order online or directly from the counter. After the order is placed and paid for, the ST Rosyam Mall staff will help load the groceries into the car so customers won’t have to leave their vehicle throughout the transaction.
It’s believed that ST Rosyam Mall is the first supermarket in Malaysia to offer a drive-thru service. It’s also worth noting that the drive-thru service is available 24 hours. However, the video didn’t mention the terms and conditions or if customers can order anything from the store’s catalogue, including fresh produce. Regardless, many netizens have praised the innovative service.
