The new “Spider-Man” installation has begun production, garnering the attention of comic book and film fans globally. However, the filming has recently hit a bump after the leading man, Tom Holland, sustained an injury while on set.
According to reports, the incident happened late last week. The actor was rushed to a hospital near the filming set of “Spider-Man: Brand New Day” in Glasgow, Scotland, after a stunt went wrong. Tom, who plays the titular superhero in the franchise, sustained a mild concussion from the accident. However, he was cleared shortly after receiving treatment. Thankfully, no one else was injured.

Unfortunately, the production was halted momentarily after the incident. Tom will also take a short break from filming the new movie as a precaution. The production will resume once the 29-year-old returns to the set in a few days. However, not much was reported about the incident, nor how Tom sustained his injury. Nevertheless, fans are sending messages of support to the star through social media.
“Spider-Man: Brand New Day” commenced filming in Glasgow in August 2025, marking Tom’s seventh time portraying Peter Parker and his web-slinging superhero alias. The British actor previously shared a video from the first day of filming, revealing that the set was open to the public. Videos of the filming process were also shared online, sparking discussions about the upcoming film.

Also appearing in the film are Zendaya and Jacob Batalon, who are reprising their roles as MJ and Ned respectively, and Sadie Sink in an undisclosed role. The movie is scheduled for a Summer 2026 release and is a key part of Sony’s film slate. While Tom’s injury reportedly led to a delay in production and subsequently a meeting among the crew to reevaluate the filming timeline, the incident is unlikely to affect the scheduled release date.
Whatever happens, we hope for a smooth recovery for Tom and a smooth filming for the cast and crew. While we wait for more updates on “Spider-Man: Brand New Day”, check out the video from the first day of filming:
