Have you ever dreamed of holding a world record for something and being featured on the Guinness World Records? To achieve such a dream may be too far of a stretch, so why not try something (slightly) smaller, like the Malaysia Book of Records?

Most recently, actress and singer Fazura received two entries in the Malaysia Book of Records during her “FAZTIVAL FAZURA” concert a few months back. Prior to that, we got Soo Wincii who also gained two entries in the Records book. Joining these Queens in getting a Malaysia Records achievement is this 18-month-old boy who apparently possesses a large vocabulary, far surpassing other toddlers his age.

18-month-old (1.5 years) Diiyash Dev may be one of the smartest toddler in all of Malaysia. The young boy can apparently speak more than 500 expressive words! An average toddler is said to only know a range of 5 to 20 words according to websites like BabyCentre and Healthline. For a young child who is barely 2 years old to even know more than 100 words is extremely impressive.

Diiyash Dev now holds the record for “The Youngest to Speak Expressive Vocabulary” in the Malaysia Book Of Records. The award-giving ceremony was held recently, where the child was seen adorably receiving his certificate. How did he manage to do it? What’s his secret? What did his parents feed him to be that smart? The boy’s mother has all the answers.

Speaking to WOB, Kanageswary revealed that she noticed that her son had the ability to instantly pick up new words seconds after being taught to him when he was just 11 months old. The school teacher further shared that her boy was able to form a full sentence consisting of up to 8 words by the time he turned 1 year and 2 months old. After realising her son’s unique gift, the proud mother contacted the Malaysia Book Of Records earlier this year.

Obviously, it will take more than just natural talent to achieve what Diiyash did. In a series of IG stories, the mother of the genius toddler advised parents to always talk to their children as much as possible and even gave tips on how to improve their vocabulary.

So parents, better start paying attention to your children even more now. Who knows what hidden talents they might possess?
