Known as the purveyor of luxury makeup, skincare, and fragrances, Guerlain recently launched its first ultimate boutique in Malaysia at The Exchange TRX. Thai singer-actor Mile Phakphum was also invited for the grand opening in March where he promoted the L’Art & La Matiére perfume collection and performed 2 live acoustic songs for local fans.
As a tribute to the emblems of the Maison, the Guerlain boutique interior takes inspiration from the “Bee concept”. In addition to experiencing the métiers d’Art novelties of one’s perfect fragrance scent, customers can also indulge and luxuriate in the house’s first facialist suite.
For the uninitiated, Guerlain Ultimate Boutiques offer exclusive facial treatments that are not available at regular Guerlain counters. Based on one’s skin type, Guerlain’s facialist expertise will recommend either the Royal Repair Facial, Imperial Rejuvenation Facial, or the Black Orchid Rejuvenation – available in 30 minutes, 45 minutes, and 60 minutes sessions.
Following a brief consultation, we were led into the private room and tucked into a cozy bed for our facial. Using essentials from Guerlain’s Abeille Royale line, the 1-hour facial is designed to plump, rehydrate, and brighten up the skin, leaving it looking radiant and revitalized. Here are some of the highlights during the facial treatment:
- Deep Cleansing and Exfoliation: Our skin was thoroughly cleansed to remove any dirt, or oil. This is followed by a gentle exfoliation to remove dead skin cells and prep the skin for the treatment products.
- Massage: A Guerlain massage therapist will use a special massage technique to apply the Abeille Royale Intense Repair Youth Oil-In-Balm. While affective, the massage was rather intense.
- Mask Application: A luxurious mask will be applied to your skin to deliver a concentrated dose of nutrients and hydration.
- Finishing Touches: The facial will be finished with the application of serums, moisturizers, and SPF to protect your skin.
While our facial skin was dry, dull and congested when we walked into Guerlain The Exchange TRX, we notice a more even skin tone. It not only felt deeply hydrated and nourished, the treatment gave our face a much-needed lift. The pampering continued on pass our neck and unto our arms and hands. It was luxurious indeed!
A purchase of Guerlain products totaling RM2,800 entitles customers to two complimentary 45-minute facial treatments. Those who spend over RM4,800 will receive two complimentary 60-minute facial treatments.
