Taylor Swift is back at the top of the charts, and this time, she has four new songs to thank for it! The pop star’s album, The Life of a Showgirl, has returned to No.1 on the Billboard 200, following the release of its expanded edition, The Life of a Showgirl: The Encore.
The comeback marks the album’s 13th week at No.1, making the achievement even sweeter for Swift, who has always had a special connection with the number 13.

After last topping the chart in January 2026, The Life of a Showgirl is enjoying another moment in the spotlight, nearly a year after its original release in October 2025.
Four New Songs Bring ‘The Life of a Showgirl’ Back to The Top
The release of The Encore has given fans four additional tracks, bringing fresh attention to the album.
According to Billboard and Luminate, the album collected 173,000 equivalent album units during the latest tracking week.
Of that total, 136,000 units came from streaming, representing an impressive 138.79 million official on-demand streams. Album sales contributed another 21,000 units.

Interestingly, Swift has yet to release physical copies of the expanded edition, meaning purchases of The Encore have been limited to digital downloads.
With streaming making up most of the album’s latest numbers, the four bonus tracks have played a major role in bringing The Life of a Showgirl back to the top.
‘Patient Zero’ Adds Another Big Moment To The Era
One of the biggest highlights of the expanded album is Swift’s new single, “Patient Zero”, which is also expected to make its debut at No.1 on the Billboard Hot 100.
The official singles chart results have yet to be announced with the top 10 scheduled for release. The song has already received attention through its music video, which features Dakota Johnson and Colin Farrell.
The video premiered during the MTV Video Music Awards, adding another major moment to Swift’s latest album era.
Together with the four new songs, the high-profile video helped bring renewed attention to The Life of a Showgirl.
Another Lucky Number 13 for Taylor Swift
Before the release of The Encore, The Life of a Showgirl had already spent 12 non-consecutive weeks at No.1 on the Billboard 200.
The album originally topped the chart following its October 2025 release and remained a strong performer throughout much of the Christmas season. Its previous week at No.1 was on the chart dated 10th January 2026.

Now, with its return to the top, the album has extended its total to 13 weeks, making it Swift’s second-longest-running No.1 album.
Her personal record is still held by The Tortured Poets Department, which spent 17 weeks at No.1
Meanwhile, 1989, and Fearless are tied with 11 weeks each at the top of the chart.
The Showgirl Era Is Far From Over
With four new tracks, a star-strudded music video and another week at No.1, Taylor Swift has given The Life of a Showgirl a fresh moment on the charts.
And with “Patient Zero” potentially heading for the top of the Billboard Hot 100, there could be another achievement just around the corner.
For now, 13 weeks at No. 1 is certainly a fitting milestone for Swift, proving that The Life of a Showgirl still has plenty of life left in it.
