Taylor Swift brought a little Disney magic to Hollywood over the weekend! The pop superstar took the stage at the 2026 Academy Museum Gala, treating guests to a special performance of her original story, “I Knew It, I Knew You,” from the animated film Toy Story 5.
The singer performed at the star-studded event in Los Angeles on Saturday, looking stunning in a sparkling floor-length gown.
One of the highlights of the evening was Swift’s performance of “I Knew It, I Knew You,” which has already become another major success for the 14-time Grammy winner.
The song recently reached No.1 on US country radio, marking Swift’s first time topping the chart in 13 years.
But this wasn’t the only treat for fans!
According to videos shared on social media, Swift also performed some of her biggest hits, including “Blank Space,” “Love Story” and “The Fate of Ophelia”.
Her appearance was announced earlier this month, with Academy Museum Director and President Amy Homma praising the singer’s worldwide influence and expressing excitement about her closing the evening with a special performance.
A Star-Studded Night Celebrating Hollywood
The sixth annual Academy Museum Gala wasn’t just about the music. The event also celebrated some of the biggest names in the film industry.
This year’s honourees included filmmaker and composer John Carpenter, actor Colman Domingo and actress Charlize Theron.
The gala raises funds to support the Academy Museum’s exhibitions, educational programmes, public film screenings and efforts to make cinema accessible to visitors of all ages.
The event was co-chaired by Tom Ford, Robert Rodriguez, Steven Spielberg and Kate Capshaw, with Rolex serving as its founding supporter and exclusive gala partner.
Several familiar Hollywood names were also part of the host committee, including Jessica Alba, Kirsten Dunst, Kate Hudson, John Legend, Chrissy Teigen, Demi Moore, Rami Malek, Seth Rogen and Teyana Taylor, among others.
Beyond her appearance at the gala, Swift has another exciting achievement coming up this month. She is set to become the youngest artist ever inducted into Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame. The ceremony will take place on 26 October 2026 at Music City Center in Nashville, celebrating her contributions to music throughout her career.
