So the Internet is abuzz with rumours of South Korean heartthrob Lee Min Ho (이민호) dating American pop darling Taylor Swift. We don’t know why but netizens are claiming that the 2 international superstars are already dating!
The rumours are so rapidly spread that Lee’s label, MYM Entertainment, had to issue an official statement to stop netizens from believing it.
The entertainment powerhouse said:
“We think it’s an international, groundless rumour. It’s completely untrue. Lee Min Ho and Taylor Swift have never even met before.”
We hate to break it to you, but #SwiftLee ain’t gonna happen.
According to All Kpop, it all started with a listicle from Channel News Asia, which was published on 9th September, just days after Tay Tay broke up with British hunk Tom Hiddleston. The article, titled “Five on Friday: 5 guys Taylor Swift should date next”, listed Lee as one of the celebrities that they think the “Shake It Off” singer should keep her eye on, followed by Singaporean Olympian Joseph Schooling, K-Pop star G-Dragon, “One Dance” rapper Drake, and model-dating actor Leonardo DiCaprio.
29-year-old Lee is currently dating miss A member Suzy Bae and according to JYP Entertainment, the couple is still doing fine.
Well, that’s the end of the short-lived “romantic” relationship between Lee and Tay Tay. That being said, we wonder what kind of rumours will surface on the Internet next.
Lee Min Ho will be starring in a new SBS drama series, titled “The Legend Of The Blue Sea”, alongside Jun Ji Hyun while it was reported that Taylor Swift is collaborating with country singer Kelsea Ballerini for a new song.
