Many people love Subway for the variety of choices on its menu. However, it can be a hassle if you don’t have any idea on what to order.
Luckily, Twitter user @hajaarudin, a former sandwich maker for the fast food chain, has revealed the best combinations to make your sandwich more appetising.
We’ve compiled the tips from the thread. Check it out below:
1. Hearty Italian (Triple Toast!)
Pick Hearty Italian as your bread and request a triple toast to get it crunchy and toasty. She explained, “it won’t be soggy even when it’s left cold and mixed with sauce.”
A friendly reminder: do not request double toast or triple toast for other types of bread as it’ll make it too soft. An exception is the Italian bread, which you can double toast.
2. Request ALL sauce (except Ketchup and Honey Mustard)
If you’ve not found your favourite sauce combination, maybe you should try “the best sauce combination”: Ranch (extra), Thousand Island (extra), Sweet Onion, Mayonnaise, Olive Oil Blend, Chili, Chipotle Southwest and BBQ. This combination is suitable for all kinds of items menu including Salads and Wraps.
3. Extra veggies for vege-heads!
Don’t hold back and request for extra vegetables if you’re a vegetable lover. They only have an additional charge for meat, not the greens.
4. Mushroom soup EXISTS
If you’ve never heard of the Subway mushroom soup, that’s fine. Now that you know, you should try ordering one when you’re getting a wrap and enjoy it together!
5. NEVER request Ketchup
@hajaarudin said, “Ketchup is the worst sauce. Never put ketchup in your sandwich/wrap or your salad. It will cut off the tastiness of your sandwich because of it’s sourness, especially if you’re eating the Meatball Marinara, (it) ruins everything.”
