SM Faisal Shows Off Apple Gifts After Ex-Wife Accused Him Of Neglecting Child Support

The drama between Datuk SM Faisal SM Nasimuddin and his ex-wife, Emilia Hanafi, has been ongoing for years. For those in the dark, the renowned businessman was charged for voluntarily causing injury to the latter back in 2015.

Emilia was present at the Kuala Lumpur Court Complex in Jalan Duta yesterday (Thursday, 2nd February) to testify on the case. During the session, she revealed that she had to work part-time to cover her children’s expenses as a single mother.

Emilia, who’s the seventh prosecution witness for the case, told the court that she took up a part-time job to support the family, including her three sons aged 10, 12, and 17, for whom the interim maintenance of RM2,000 received for each child was insufficient. She revealed that she supports her kids by selling home cooked food.

According to Emilia, among the meals she sells include roti jala, pulut kuning, beef rendang, and spinach chips. “I also sell ‘agar-agar’ (jelly) and cakes that I learned from my time in the States. I’ve also taken a part-time job as a house decorator. For now, me and my three children are staying at my parents’ house while waiting for the course of action from the Syariah Court,” she said in tears.

Following Emilia’s statement, netizens have expressed sympathy and questioned SM Faisal whether he has been neglecting his children as per what his ex wife claims. However, the Naza CEO came up with a post on his sons’ Instagram @smf1f2f3. He revealed that he had gifted his three children with new devices from Apple – including the iPhone 14 Pro, Apple Watch and also the iPad Magic Keyboard Folio – for their birthdays.

“Another year, another birthday. Actually, three birthdays. Here are some new devices and wearables for my three teenage boys to celebrate another year of growing up into excellent young men. You boys will always be in my heart, my pride and joy, and I will always love you all. Be the best you can be to yourselves, your loved ones and the world, and always be grateful. Happy birthday my boys ❤️❤️❤️,” the caption reads.

This was SM Faisal’s indirect response to Emilia. The Friends Of Faisal Instagram account also posted receipts of the boys’ education fees at Taylor’s International School, debunking their mother’s claims.
