After the successful debut of CxM last September, K-pop group SEVENTEEN (세븐틴) is preparing to launch another subunit! The new unit will pair up two of the group’s vocalists, DK (Dokyeom/도겸) and Seungkwan (승관).
On 6th November 2025 (Thursday), entertainment news outlets reported that DK and Seungkwan are preparing to debut in a new subunit, marking the group’s fifth subunit after BSS (부석순), JxW, HxW and CxM. SEVENTEEN’s agency, PLEDIS Entertainment, would later confirm the news, revealing that the duo will release an album in January 2026.

DK and Seungkwan have both received a lot of love for their singing prowess, being part of the group’s vocal team. The two are also part of the group’s first official subunit, BSS, alongside member Hoshi (호시). The trio has already received a lot of love for their previous releases, even winning Best Performance Of The Year at the 2023 Asia Artist Awards.
While this will be their official debut as a unit, DK and Seungkwan have previously released a duet track for SEVENTEEN’s 2016 album, “Love & Letter”, titled “Say Yes”. Fans have expressed interest in the new subunit, with many looking forward to hearing what the two powerful vocalists have to offer.

Meanwhile, SEVENTEEN recently announced the Asia leg of their ongoing world tour, “_NEW”. The group will perform in Singapore on 7th March 2026 and in the Philippines on 21st March 2026. The K-pop sensations are also releasing a new docuseries on Disney+, detailing their journey from debut to their 10th year.
