Nubeo Magellan Automatic Star Trek Starfleet Limited Edition
Watch brand Nubeo has always had a penchant for anything related to space and deep-sea exploration. With its most recent watch offering, the company has incorporated a little bit of vintage sci-fi. In collaboration with the Star Trek film series, Nubeo presents the Magellan Automatic Star Trek Starfleet Limited Edition, available in four striking colour variations: Explorer Yellow, Danger Red, Warp Blue, and Beam Black.
With the intrepid Starfleet in mind, every version of the watch features a multi-layered, lume-filled dial with its iconic insignia at its centre. The arrowhead-shaped emblem is surrounded by the engraved phrase “TO BOLDLY GO WHERE NO ONE HAS GONE BEFORE,” which alludes to the opening title sequence of the original 1960s Star Trek television series.
With its 48mm case size and striking appearance on the wrist, the stainless steel watch case makes a bold statement. The dial, inner bezel, and matching rubber strap all reflect the specific colourway.
The Magellan Automatic Star Trek Starfleet Limited Edition, which retails for US$1,450 (~RM6,390) and is only available in 200 pieces per colorway, is now available for purchase through Nubeo’s website.
Seiko Prospex 1965 Recreation
The beloved Japanese watchmaking group Seiko is back with a new European-exclusive! The Prospex Limited Edition 1965 Recreation, with its striking Gradation Island Blue dial, is a re-creation of Seiko’s original diver watch that debuted in the titular year (1965).
Inspired by the calm and ethereal beauty of the Greek Ionian islands, the graduated hues pay homage to their crystal clear blue waters and white sand beaches.
The timepiece is dressed in stainless steel and comes with a metal bracelet that matches. The watch’s contrasting navy blue bezel highlights its contrasting finish, and its Lumibrite-incorporated indices provide easy visibility in low light.
Powering the watch is Seiko’s in-house 6R35 calibre, which provides 70 hours of power reserve with an accuracy of -15/+25 seconds per day.
The 1,000-piece Seiko Prospex Limited Edition 1965 Recreation is now up for order on the Seiko Boutique website, with a retail price of GBP£1,290 GBP (~RM7,275).
