The trailer for “Star Trek: Discovery”, the latest TV iteration in the saga, has finally arrived. And what better occasion to drop the incredible action-packed 2-minute-and-39-second long than this year’s San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC)?

Offering the best look yet at the upcoming sci-fi adventure saga, the trailer shows the resurgent Klingons re-uniting the 24 great houses, leading to a cold war with the United Federation Of Planets.

“Star Trek: Discovery” is set about 10 years before the events of the original Star Trek, with Sonequa Martin-Green as First Officer Michael Burnham (referred to as Number One) with Jason Isaac as Captain Lorca aboard the USS Shenzhou.

The Klingons are, of course, the core antagonists of the series, and they look the part. According to Screen Rant, “Star Trek: Discovery” will expand on the Klingon culture, giving viewers a better look at how they act and interact beyond what fans have seen in other Star Trek shows and movies.

It’s also important to note that the conflict with the Klingons won’t be resolved during the course of the season, but everyone may come out of it with a deeper understanding of the Klingons.

If the trailer is anything to go by, then it definitely looks like “Star Trek: Discovery” is coming together just fine. Did we say fine? We meant to say that the trailer is absolutely stunning!

Oh, and spot Michelle Yeoh 😉

“Star Trek: Discovery” is scheduled to premiere on 24th September on CBS and Netflix.
