“Produce 101” season 2 contestant Samuel Kim (사무엘) will finally make his solo debut this Wednesday (2nd August) with his first mini-album, titled “Sixteen”.
His label, Brave Entertainment, has dropped the video teaser for his title track of the same name. Featuring rapper Changmo (창모), the new track is an energetic dance track. “Oh my god, I’m 16,” sings Samuel excitedly in the brief clip.
The teaser doesn’t show much, but it features Samuel dancing in a supermarket, playing basketball, and chilling in his room while looking shyly at his phone.
Born in 2002, 16-year-old Samuel Kim (otherwise known as Punch) was a potential member of Pledis Entertainment’s large scale boy group, SEVENTEEN. Prior to joining the 2nd season of “Produce 101”, he and rapper One formed a hip hop duo called 1PUNCH in 2015. Although the group disbanded shortly after, the Brave Entertainment trainee has always been popular among K-Pop fans thanks to his boyish charm, good looks, and smooth singing voice.
“Sixteen” contains 6 tracks including “Jewel Box”, “I Got It” featuring Maboos, “With U” featuring Kim Chung Ha, “1, 2, 3” featuring Maboos, and “I’m Ready”.
