Yup, you read that right. The “Running Man” members might have bade farewell to Gary last week, but it seems like episode 324 wasn’t his last.
In a short teaser video that was released by SBS, Gary’s return was hinted at, and producer Lee Jin Hwan also took the chance to explain the mysterious clip to fans.
The sequence opened with a puzzling sentence, which reads, “And ‘Running Man’ had a beautiful farewell with Gary…that’s what you thought, right?” Shortly after, the former member’s face appeared on screen with the caption, “Please don’t. Leave me alone. This is too much.”
Fans who saw the clip were excited and baffled at the same time, but PD Lee relieved their questions. On 11th November (Friday), he stated, “As seen on last week’s preview, Gary will be appearing on the 13th November (Sunday) broadcast. We did bid him farewell but goodbye isn’t forever so we were clingy to the very end. You can think that Gary is the first guest in the first episode of the remaining 6 member-cast without him. He was given a secret mission and I hope you will check it out on the broadcast.”
In the upcoming episode, the members will be going on a “deficiency travel”, where they will have to deal with a ridiculously low budget by going on a trip with a car that’s falling apart and a phone that’s low on battery. They also track down Gary, and hassle him for snacks and money.
