It’s the moment many rock fans have been waiting for – the much-anticipated reunion of legendary Britpop band Oasis. As many know, the band has been on hiatus since 2009 after brothers Noel and Liam Gallagher had a huge fallout – but it seems everything is about to change.
The band recently posted on their social media, teasing about something happening on 27th September 2024 at 8am (UK time). The cryptic post also comes after Liam said an announcement is about to be made while performing at the Reading Festival 2024. Despite not sharing any more hints about the announcement, many fans are convinced that the band will make their long-awaited reunion. Some music insiders have also seemingly confirmed the news, sharing details about the band’s reunion plans.

Sharing with The Sun, insiders said the reunion will see the band performing at four huge concerts at Wembley Stadium and more gigs across the country over the next year, including at home city Manchester. There are also rumours of a global tour, in which the brothers could earn a whopping £50 million (approximately RM290 million). Live Nation and SJM Concerts have also joined in on the project, which is gearing up to be one of the biggest tours for 2025. As for the setlist, there is no doubt that the band will play their many hits, including ones from the album, “(What’s The Story) Morning Glory?” – which will celebrate its 30th anniversary next year.
Unfortunately, some insiders say the reunion will only feature Liam and Noel and not the rest of the originally five-member band. Nevertheless, knowing that the brothers have agreed to come together is great for many fans, especially since this will mark the first time 51-year-old Liam and 57-year-old Noel have stood on the stage together since Oasis split in 2009. There are also talks the brothers already met up for a photo shoot to promote the reunion tour. One source said, “It was a pinch-me moment to have Noel and Liam together. It has taken a lot to get them to this point but they’re thinking of the fans.”

As of writing, the rumours have yet to be confirmed – but at this point, everything seems almost true. Are you excited about the Oasis reunion tour?
