If you are a Malaysian, you’ve probably heard of Rihana Petra and her scandalous marriage to Malaysian royalty. The short-lived marriage was once the talk of the town, especially since the arrival of their son, Ismail Leon.
Now approximately four years after their divorce, the 2015 Miss Moscow beauty pageant winner, posted a photo of herself and her son on Instagram with a surprising caption. The sentimental caption brought forth a mix of emotions from Malaysian netizens.
In the Instagram post, the Russian model talked about her bad experiences during the brief marriage, including a claim saying that her ex-husband had apparently betrayed her – to the point where she did not know what to do or where to go. She also mentioned that she may publish a book someday about the betrayal.
“But all terrible things come to an end at some point, and my only regret is that I wasted so much energy and nerves on all these experiences. And if someone had told me that day what my life would be like in four years, I probably wouldn’t have believed it.” the model added.
Scrolling through the Instagram comments, many are supportive, wishing her the best for her and the son. Some even showed eagerness for the book, saying that they would definitely buy it. Of course, there are bad comments as well, telling her to move on after so long. One even brought up that the ex-husband has another wife, which gained a lot of likes.
