Resorts World Genting (RWG) marked another step forward in its sustainability journey with the official handover of DENZA D9 Premium electric vehicles (EVs), introducing the resort’s first-ever MPV EV shuttle service.
Held at Awana Village on 20th May 2026 (Wednesday) , the EV handover ceremony brought together representatives from RWG, DENZA Sime Motors and BYD Sime Motors to commemorate the milestone collaboration.
The newly introduced DENZA D9 Premium vehicles will provide shuttle services for guests travelling between Genting Grand and Crockfords, offering a more comfortable, premium and environmentally friendly transportation experience within the resort. The initiative reflects RWG’s ongoing commitment towards reducing carbon emissions and supporting greener mobility solutions in line with its broader sustainability vision.
Speaking during the ceremony, Spencer Lee, Executive Vice President of Sales, Marketing & Public Relations of RWG, highlighted the importance of adopting cleaner transportation alternatives within the integrated resort. “The introduction of the DENZA D9 EV shuttle service marks an important milestone in RWG’s sustainability journey. As we continue exploring greener initiatives across our operations, we also want to elevate the guest experience by providing transportation that is not only efficient and luxurious, but also environmentally responsible,” he said.

The fully electric DENZA D9 Premium supports RWG’s sustainability efforts by offering a greener and more environmentally friendly transportation option within the resort. Powered by BYD’s Blade Battery technology, the luxury MPV also delivers a quieter and smoother ride experience for guests. Designed with passenger comfort in mind, the DENZA D9 Premium features a spacious three-row seating layout with premium NAPPA leather seats and enhanced cabin comfort, elevating the shuttle experience between Genting Grand and Crockfords.
