#PublikaJazz2016: Malaysia’s Largest Free Jazz Festival Is Back On 26th & 27th August

Don’t know what to do this weekend? Well, if you are a big music junkie, then you should visit Publika for some awesome jazz performances.

The Publika Jazz 2016 will be held over 2 days at 4 different venues – The Bee, The Square, Black Box, and The Social – from 8pm to 12 am on 26th and 27th August. The music festival is an annual event held to celebrate Publika’s 5th anniversary. Also, admission is free for all performances.

This year, the line-up is amazing. Not only will the jazz festival include well-known local acts such as The Groove Messengers, Kirana Kay and Her Associates, Hazel Leong, and Aina and The Ground Passengers, it also features popular international jazz musicians like Keithen Carter, Frank Hergott, and Abdul and The Coffee Theory.

The schedule is as follows:

26th August (Saturday)

The Square, 8pm – 12am

  • The Groove Messengers
  • Kirana Kay and Her Associates
  • Abdul and The Coffee Theory (Indonesia)
  • Keithen Carter (USA)
  • Frank Hergott (France)
  • Koh Saxman (Thailand)

Black Box, 8pm – 11pm

  • Az Samad and Samantha De Lune
  • Janine Annice (UK)
  • Tilu (Malaysia/Indonesia)

The Bee, 8pm – 10pm

  • Hazel Leong
  • Bihzhu

The Social, 12am

  • Jamming Session with Publika Jazz All Stars
