There’s no telling what delivery riders might encounter or even receive from customers while on the job. Some riders were very fortunate to have received generous tips from their customers.
Speaking of generous tips, not only did this rider get a nice tip after completing his delivery but he also almost shed a tear after reading a note that was left for him by the customer. Here’s the story:
Yesterday (Thursday, 8th June), a delivery rider who goes by Hazmie Faiz Razak posted on his Facebook about his recent delivery to an apartment building. According to the rider, he was initially hesitant to climb all the way to the 5th floor to deliver the food to his customer. “If I had a choice, I’d choose to not go up. But since it was my duty, I went up to the 5th floor anyway,” he wrote.
Much to his surprise, the customer handed the rider an envelope after completing his delivery. He asked the customer what the envelope was to which the man replied, “It’s okay. Just take it. Thank you”. The rider didn’t think much of it afterward as he had to proceed with his next delivery. While he was waiting at the vendor to pick up the order, the rider suddenly remembered the envelope.
Hazmie almost burst into tears after finding out that the customer left a very generous tip of RM50 notes for him inside the envelope along with a message on a small piece of paper that reads, “Hi sir, please pray that me and my wife will be blessed with a child one day”. The rider ended the post by praying for the couple so that their wish may come true.
Netizens were moved by the story with some praising the customers for their generosity towards the rider as well as offering to pray for the couple so that their wish will come true. We can’t help but be moved as well and hope that their prayers will be answered one day.
