You may have experienced fine dining high above ground, but what about inside a plane?

Plane In The City offers diners a 90-minute experience where you’ll get to enjoy freshly-prepared meals an actual Boeing 737 aircraft on ground. “Passengers” will also get the option to experience a chance-of-a-lifetime to walk on the wings of the aircraft and snap selfies the Pilot’s cockpit.

The new attraction, which is located at Skyland in Jalan Bukit Bintang, launched this month. Perhaps you may have notice the large aircraft while driving towards Pavilion KL or Jalan Imbi? It easily stands out among the city’s skyscrapers. If you’ve previously experience Dining In The Sky, think of Plane In The City as a spin-off experience.

Brought to you by TwoSpicy Entertainment Live, the same masterminds behind Dining In The Sky, the food on the aircraft will be served exclusively by Le Meridien Kuala Lumpur. “Food, in our tradition, is something sacred, it’s not about the nutrients or calories. It’s about sharing, honesty and identity. Hence the philosophy of cooking has to be an intimate experience thus the idea behind the menu for dining in the plane is all about – creating an honest and intimate experience for the diners through the food,” said Chef Antoine Rodriquez, Executive Chef of Le’ Meridien Kuala Lumpur.

What is the maximum capacity of the airplane restaurant you ask? The standard seating can accommodate up to 20 pax while standing with cocktails tables can hold up to 60 people. Guests are not allowed to choose seats as it will be arranged upon arrival. Do note that the seating (as seen in the first image above) is 1×1 facing each other.

There are three different Plane In The City packages – Economy class, Business class, and First class – where diners will be served three or four courses depending on their package. There are two sessions daily on weekdays, and up to four sessions daily on weekends. For those wondering, the cuisine prepared by Le Meridien are served Halal and approved by JAKIM.

Take a look at the activities and menus below:
