A few days ago, Pestle & Mortar Clothing teased with a picture of Bugs Bunny holding an eaten carrot with the caption, “Seems like we have a friend who has dug up a hole in Kuala Lumpur“.
The streetwear brand later confirmed that the collaboration with Looney Tunes will debut this Friday (23rd October). The collection includes 18 different pieces ranging from tees, shirts, outerwear, face masks, and accessories.
All you fashionistas and Looney Tunes fans can expect the collection to feature the iconic cartoon characters such as Bugs Bunny, Sylvester the Cat, Tweety Bird, Daffy Duck, and more. To quote the brand, Pestle & Mortar Clothing’s collab with Looney Tunes symbolises two worlds and two cultures colliding.
Pestle & Mortar Clothing even got a few homegrown artists to pose as models for the brand collection. They include footballer Steffi Sarge Kaur, Hero Remaja Champ Nadhir Nasar, rapper Asyraf Nasir, singer-songwriter Talitha Tan, and frontman of the funk band RYÖTJONES Kyren Thomas.
Lead Creative, Pestle & Mortar Clothing, Jack Gan said, “Some of us who grew up in the 90’s will never forget waking up early on a Sunday just so we could tune in to Looney Tunes. The collection not only pays tribute to the characters of Looney Tunes but also combines that with our local culture and heritage.”
