Oakley Drops “Artifacts From The Future”: Fashion Designed For 2075, Delivered In 2025

The future looks so NOW! Fifty years into a legacy of transforming innovation into cultural icons, Oakley® is writing a new chapter.

Introducing Artifacts From The Future – a new-era of inventions designed for tomorrow, delivered today and born from an influence that transcends the game, echoes through culture, and accelerates what’s next.

From Sub Zero to Eye Jacket, From Mars to Medusa, Oakley’s designs have reshaped the world – from the winner’s podium to the runway, to the main stage, and beyond. Artifacts from the Future are designed for 2075 and delivered to 2025, all within the signature language that has defined Oakley for five decades.

The products are featured on Team Oakley athletes Jaylen Brown, Trinity Rodman, and Kylian Mbappé – incredible forces in culture and sport, who are breaking new ground on their own terms. The full lineup includes high-wrap eyewear and the SS25 Reserve Collection.

“Artifacts From The Future is our way of designing forward while honouring where we’ve been. Oakley’s always stood apart – when we introduced the Eye Jacket in the ‘90s, it wasn’t just a new shape, it was a new way of thinking about eyewear,” said Brian Takumi, Oakley VP of Brand Soul & Creative.

“That high-wrap, dual-lens design flipped the script and became part of our creative DNA. It’s that same bold and expressive design language that lives on in new cultural icons, like Plantaris, today.”

Seen on some of the most influential cultural figures of our time, Plantaris is a high-wrap piece of future-facing art created to become an artifact in years to come. Engineering the eyewear was a process of natural selection, shaped by the creature-inspired aesthetics that form a visual code for Oakley. Its flexible silicone rear stem channels the raw power of a frog mid-leap, mimicking the muscle that drives its motion.

The collection is rounded out with additional high-wrap eyewear, including Lateralis, a heritage-inspired, future-ready silhouette, and Masseter, a new-school minimalist design that takes inspiration from ’90s and early ’00s Oakley® inventions.

Both Lateralis and Masseter will also soon be available in custom on Oakley.com as part of the 2025 Oakley Custom Program, offering eyewear personalisation to suit every vibe. The SS25 Reserve Apparel Collection is designed for the next generation of adventurers.

Worn by visionary Jaylen Brown, the lifestyle line channels a spirit of exploration through a multi-pocket design philosophy and bold aesthetic. Drawing from contemporary urban culture, it fuses striking graphics with high-tech fabrics to deliver elevated functionality and modern style.

The Reserve Collection is a seamless blend of performance and expression – crafted for those who go off-grid and off-script. Distinctive design elements, refreshed logos, and intuitive features define the season, ensuring each piece carries a unique identity and purpose.

Artifacts from the Future will continue to evolve alongside Oakley’s innovative legacy with new collaborations on the horizon, including exclusive Signature Series from Alexia Putellas and Kylian Mbappé.

Fifty years of groundbreaking innovation have brought Oakley to this moment. Now, step into the next chapter, with Artifacts From The Future available at Oakley.com and select Oakley stores and partners worldwide.
