Everyone has a favourite restaurant that they would frequent not just for special occasions but also for social gatherings. Previously, a netizen shared how he would treat himself to a meal at KFC whenever he wanted to reward himself.
This woman, however, took rewarding herself to a whole new level as she would take any chance she gets to dine in at her favourite restaurant; this has been going on for the past decade! So how much money has she spent there over the years? Let’s find out:
Originally posted on Weibo yesterday (Monday, 20th November), a woman from China, who only wished to be known as Kong, shared how much she loves to eat the food at Haidilao, a popular hotpot restaurant. It was said that for the past 9 years, she would visit the restaurant frequently; an average of 5 times a month every year. Her highest record was 12 visits in a single week!
This meant that throughout those years, the woman would have had the same meal for lunch and dinner. The customer apparently registered as a member immediately after she tried the food there for the first time 9 years ago and has collected various medals or points on the hotpot’s app throughout the years.
Kong also shared that she doesn’t necessarily dine in at the restaurant for only personal reasons as she would also initiate meet-ups with friends at the restaurant. This begs the question – how much has she spent over the course of 9 years? After checking her transactions, the loyal customer discovered that she’s spent nearly 270k Yuan which is approximately RM175k! “This is just my expensive hobby,” she said.
We’re pretty sure that Haidilao is overjoyed to have such a loyal customer by their side after all these years. It’s impressive to see that this fan has not gotten sick of eating the same type of dishes over and over again.
