The legal battle between girl group NJZ (엔제이지) (formerly NewJeans/뉴진스) and former agency ADOR continues, showing no signs of letting up. Despite that, the five idols, Minji (민지), Hanni (하니), Danielle (다니엘), Haerin (해린) and Hyein (혜인), recently celebrated their 1000th day anniversary and hinted at some good things to come.
Hanni recently updated the group’s Instagram account with a lengthy message to celebrate NJZ’s anniversary. She wrote in the Instagram Stories post, “I’ll be honest, I’m cautious and not too sure what to say, but I promise you we will all be able to celebrate these types of days in the way it should be later on! I’m doing well!”. The idol continues, apologising for not being able to update fans as frequently.
The 20-year-old was recently spotted on holiday in Milan with fellow member Minji, and she briefly touched on this in her post. She wrote, “I’m spending this time recharging myself as a person. Although this might be selfish, it feels somewhat very much needed, and I hope you understand.” Hanni also thanked the Bunnies (NJZ fans) for their continued support throughout the group’s legal battle.
The girl group member also urged fans to stay optimistic, writing, “Although we lost out on some time together, we will be able to fill up future days with better memories, so I hope you can look forward to that.” In a small after-note, Hanni also reassured fans about the group’s future, hinting that the quintet has more news to share soon. However, the idol didn’t elaborate on what the girls have in store for fans.
Nevertheless, fans have continued to voice support for the five members of NJZ amidst their legal battle with ADOR. Most recently, the group attempted to overturn the ban on their independent activities. However, the court ruled in favour of their former agency. In the meantime, ADOR’s former CEO, Min Heejin (민희진), broke her silence after months, recently making her first statement about her legal case with her former company.
While their future seems uncertain, it’s heartwarming to see the bond between the NJZ members and their Bunnies. We wish the idols all the best and hope to see them soon.
