Who knew that out of the 3 Hollywood celebrities that got engaged this summer, Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra will the 1st out of the 3 to get married! (The other 2 were Ariana Grande-Pete Davidson & Justin Bieber-Hailey Baldwin, in case you don’t know.)
So a few days ago we reported that Priyanka will be having a private party in India and Nick and his whole family were invited. Well, turns out that it is an engagement party to officially announce their relationship and introduce their families, and this is all part of pre-wedding rituals for their Indian wedding.
“It’s a tradition for them to meet before the wedding and Priyanka’s family insisted on hosting the Jonas family in their country,” a source told E! News. “Priyanka wants everything to be traditional to respect her family’s values, and definitely an Indian wedding. Priyanka and Nick are excited for everyone to meet and to celebrate. Everything is very secretive but guests are expected to head there starting tomorrow. All of the plans are moving quickly and Priyanka and Nick do not want to have a long engagement.”
On Tuesday (14th August), the “Quantico” actress unpurposely showed off her huge diamond ring via her friend and fellow Bollywood actress Raveena Tandon’s Instagram. The 4-carat ring is from Tiffany & Co. and reportedly costs around $200,000.
The dating rumours between Nick, 25, and Priyanka, 36 started during last year’s Met Gala when the twosome were spotted out and about together in Los Angeles.
