We’ve heard countless horror stories of nasty experiences at LRT and MRT stations. Recently, a young man shared his traumatising episode of being sexually harassed by a stranger while he was waiting for the train. Prior to that, another netizen exposed 2 men for harassing her friend on the train.

Other than sexual harassment, one may also encounter other dangers such as technical issues. But what are the chances of you being slapped by a stranger unprovoked? The possibility of that happening is low but and unfortunately, this netizen and her friend experienced just that.

Taking to Twitter, a netizen who goes by the username pei_loy or Loy shared the story in a thread of how she was physically assaulted by a strange woman. According to the tweet, the incident took place at the Hang Tuah LRT station. “I never once expected [to be] slapped by a total stranger,” she tweeted.

The user claimed that the woman suddenly slapped her face unprovoked while she was queuing to exit the train after arriving at her destination. Horrified by what happened, the netizen and her friend immediately called the station’s auxiliary police officers for help. Based on their observation, it was suspected that the woman is mentally ill.

As seen in the video above, the perpetrator apparently tried to escape by waiting for the approaching train to stop. Things then escalated when the strange woman slapped Loy’s friend as she was being confronted. Thankfully, the authorities immediately apprehended her after the incident. The Twitter user stated that they went to the nearest police station to file a report and thanked the auxiliary officers and the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) for helping them with their case.

As for the strange woman, there is currently no update from PDRM on her situation nor condition. Either way, we’re glad that the two victims are now safe from harm and hope that they’re doing better.
