Malaysian entertainer Namewee has revealed that he has been formally cleared of all charges following a six-month legal process.
In a post shared to his Facebook page, the musician and filmmaker said he had received official documentation from the Federal Court confirming the withdrawal of charges, which he described as a moment of relief after a difficult period.

“Finally! After six months, I have just received a letter from the Federal Court confirming the withdrawal of the case. I have finally been officially declared not guilty,” he wrote.
Namewee said the past six months had been an emotionally challenging period, adding that he felt a sense of relief at what he described as “true freedom.” He also addressed the death of an individual identified as She Yeo Xin, expressing sadness and saying he felt unable to help, while offering his condolences.
He Opened Up About The Six-Month Ordeal
According to his post, the entertainer had previously faced multiple charges, including allegations related to drug use, possession, and other drug-related offences, as well as a murder charge. He said he had been detained for several days and subjected to extensive police investigations covering his residence, workplace, electronic devices, and associates.

He added that he believes the legal process ultimately cleared him, but said the public scrutiny and media coverage during the case had already caused significant damage to his reputation.
The entertainer also criticised parts of the media and online speculation, claiming that misinformation and exaggerated reports had circulated during the investigation. He said he had never given interviews on the matter and argued that much of what was reported was based on speculation rather than verified facts.
Despite the controversy, Namewee expressed gratitude to his legal team, close friends, colleagues, and supporters who stood by him throughout the ordeal. He also thanked his management team and family for their support during what he described as a difficult period.
Looking ahead, he said he may consider producing a video to further address the situation, though no official plans have been confirmed.
