Naim Daniel is finally stepping up to address his recent hot story surrounding his collab song with fellow singer Ismail Izzani called “Covid-19”.
As mentioned in our previous story, the duo came under fire for making use of an edited picture of our YDPA Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah in their teaser.
“Today I want to talk about my new song ‘Covid-19’ as well as the artwork cover that uses a photoshopped image of our YDPA. I know that it’s a sensitive issue, I should’ve been more aware of it,” Naim said in the clip he posted on Instagram.
The 21-year-old continued, “I’d like to publicly apologise to everyone. I’m very sorry for all the inconvenience caused, it’ll never happen again.” The video has since been deleted by him. On the other hand, Ismail is still mum in regards to the controversy.
Many fans took to the comments section by showing their undying support to the duo. In this case, they advised both Naim and Ismail to be more thoughtful and expressed their hopes that they won’t repeat such a mistake in the future.
