Step aside, McDonald’s Singapore, for we’ve got our very own “Nasi Lemak Burger”.
The Bowery Group, a brand that takes pride in understanding the taste buds of Malaysians and their evolving tastes and preferences, will be paying homage to the quintessential local favourite, “Nasi Lemak” by unveiling their very own “Nasi Lemak Burger” (NLB), in conjunction with the upcoming Merdeka month. Mm, yum!
With The NLB, a juicy piece of chicken thigh is coated in an aromatic coconut milk-laced batter and fried to golden perfection. It is paired with a sweet yet spicy sambal sauce that really hits the spot, then topped with a perfect fried egg (telur mata kerbau) oozing luscious golden yolk and finally with a generous sprinkling of fried anchovies (ikan bilis) and toasted groundnuts (kacang) for that added crunch. All between a homemade butter brioche bun with lip-smacking shoestring fries on the side.
The RM18 a la carte NLB has been made available across all the brand’s outlets:

- Bowery Petit (48 Persiaran Zaaba, Taman Tun Dr Ismail, 60000 Kuala Lumpur)

At Bowery Metro the NLB can be scarfed down with a drink of the day at RM19 nett as part of the daily set lunch offerings. At BOWERY Kitchen & Bar, the NLB is also part of the daily set lunch offerings at RM19.50 with a drink of the day or at RM24.50 with a soup and drink of the day, subject to a 10% service charge.
